Our native plant nurseries.
We grow native plants at scale, with eco-sourced and contract-grown production available for projects with specific provenance requirements.
We deliver native plants to sites across Auckland, the Waikato and Thames-Coromandel.
Glenbrook Nursery Hub
17 Glenbrook Beach Road, Glenbrook 2681
In partnership with New Zealand Steel.
Our Glenbrook nursery operates in partnership with New Zealand Steel and strengthens our regional production capacity. This collaboration supports local restoration initiatives while embedding employment and training opportunities within an active industrial landscape.
Glenbrook extended the nursery model first developed at Pūkorokoro. It showed how a nursery platform could produce native plants for environmental projects, provide a practical place for people to learn and contribute, and strengthen Te Whāngai’s ability to supply restoration work across Auckland.
Pūkorokoro Nursery Hub
1011 Miranda Road, Pūkorokoro / Miranda 2473
Our home of operations for 18+ years.
Pūkorokoro is where Te Whāngai’s nursery and work-integrated social-enterprise model first took shape. From this founding platform, people learned through practical propagation, growing and restoration mahi while building confidence, capability and pathways towards employment. The connection between people, plants and productive work established here still underpins Te Whāngai today.
Our Pūkorokoro nursery is the operational heart of Te Whāngai Trust. This site supports large-scale propagation, grow-to-order production, and coordinated delivery across Auckland and the Waikato.
